Rittenhouse Announces Enhancements to the R2 Library Platform King of Prussia PA, November 2006 – Rittenhouse Book Distributors, Inc, announces the
addition of My Images to the personalization component, My R2, of the R2 Library. The
R2 Library is focused exclusively on digital book content for health sciences and offers a
unique business model enabling the purchase of individual resources from multiple
publishers on one platform.
My Images is the first of three new features offered to users on the R2 platform. Users
can now save, organize and export images from all available R2 Library Resources.
More than 68,000 images are available across the entire R2 Library platform, one of the
single largest collections available on the internet. My Images provides the user with
easy access to often used or referenced images and the capability to download images for
use in presentations and papers, with publisher’s copyright ensuring appropriate
attribution to all images.
“The addition of My Images brings additional functionality to one of the most highly
utilized content types on the R2 Library.” said Nicole Gallo Executive Director Sales &
Marketing, “This is one more feature of the R2 Library that has been user tested and
designed by librarians and their patrons.”
Currently My R2 includes: My Bookmarks, Saved Searches and Search History. This
enables users to bookmark at the section level, save key searches and automatically
access the user’s last ten searches.
In addition to My Images, My References and My Courselinks will be available by the
end of the year. The My Reference component will allow users to save, organize, and
export citations to R2 content. My Courselinks will enable administrators to save and
export deep links to chapter and paragraph level content with courseware applications.

R2 Library Announces Partnership with Doody Enterprises
Doody’s Core Title and Review Information Now Available to R2 Library Clients
King of Prussia PA, October 2006 – Rittenhouse Book Distributors, Inc, and Doody
Enterprises have created a partnership to provide Doody Core Title and Doody Review
information to Rittenhouse’s R2 Library clients. The R2 Library is one of the leading
platforms providing aggregated health sciences electronic books to libraries.
Beginning in fall 2006, all R2 Library clients will be able to access DCT and Doody
Review Information when making collection development decisions. The DCT and
Review Information is compiled and written by subject area experts and is designed
specifically to support the collection development process and will be complimentary on
the R2 Library platform.

monographic resources from fifteen STM publishers. Launched in May 2005, The R2
Library is focused exclusively on specialized content for health sciences and offers a
unique business model for digital content enabling the purchase of individual resources
from multiple publishers on one platform.
The R2 Library boasts one of the single largest collections of digital monographic content
with 41 allied health titles, 51 nursing titles, and 113 medicine titles. The R2 Library has
more than 50 new titles scheduled for release in the 4th quarter of 2006 from leading
publishing partners such as Lippincott Williams & Wilkins, McGraw-Hill, American
Psychiatric Press, Inc., Springer, Oxford University Press, and F.A. Davis bringing the
total to more than 250 monographic resources.

Rittenhouse Book Distributors, Inc. Expands Offerings to Include Digital Services
King of Prussia PA -- January 01, 2005 – Rittenhouse Book Distributors, Inc, a health
sciences book distribution company, announces the expansion of its services to include
digital warehousing, products, and fulfillment. The R2 Library is a digital repository and
technology infrastructure designed to aggregate content from multiple publishers
electronically on the desktop for the company’s key customer groups.
“This is a natural progression of our traditional place in the market”, said Clark Morrell,
President, “Rittenhouse has a fifty-five year history of providing book distribution services;
health sciences information is moving to a digital environment, and we are evolving.
Providing access to multiple publishers’ content in the R2 Library application is an extension
of what we do today.”
The R2 Library repository and technology infrastructure provides storage and flexible access
to health sciences content from multiple publishers. Launching in spring 2005, the
company’s initial offering will be an institutional application designed for its hospital and
academic Library customers. Applications for retail partners and other key customer groups
are in development.
